45:33 - Jonathan vs JR aka masculado - Ken's crazy comeback and best match happened on the tourney!
During this successful tourney event, eL, who represents Bacolod, happens to be the toughest and most dominant player in the Visayas region of the Philippines. Showcasing his flashy cross-ups and resets that left us stunned from the beginning to the very end of the match. That time of year, we don't have any resources through the internet on how to escape quickly from a hyper grav xx magnetic tempest, sentinel's unblockable beam, fastfly glitch and other fundamentals from the game itself. RESET was not in our vocabulary back then. We pretty much learned things by ourselves. Only a very few players, like myself, knew a little knowledge on the internet. I used to visit Preppy's site(zachd.com/mvc2) each day since I was more focused watching a lot of footage from different casuals, tourneys and money matches from different players. There weren't any marvel videos on YouTube that time.
After our grand finals ended, I was really happy on the outcome of the tourney. I didn't feel any pride or anger inside of me for not winning against him. I thought he truly deserves to be the champ! I stood up and showed some sportsmanship to eL by congratulating him for winning the tourney and by the next day we became mutually friends. On that very day, the real marvel competition had just begun!
Awesome matches. It sucks there is no arcade Marvel 3 so I could play in Manila January. :P

@airthrow Glad you enjoyed it! We used to have Marvel 3 in Iloilo but due to lack of competition and only a few played it much daily, the amusement place took it out. Sad ain't it? :(
