  • Oh this brings back GREAT memories. Our favorite highway to speed down was 1604 around San Antonio in the 70s. Budweiser and if lucky enough some smoke. I will be 60 in 2012 and this song still gets the goosebumps up. Thanks Joe Anthony for all.

  • @ivtommys

I'll be 26 by then; I suppose I'm lucky my old man had good enough taste to show this album to me. After he died I found he still had the vinyl tucked away with some other old records. Needless to say, I'm not givin' up that vinyl. :D

  • I too remember speeding along at 43 MPH down Route 60 in Glassgow WV behind coal trucks listening to this song on 8-track at full volume in my 63 Ford Falcon in 1977 waiting for a place to pass and get up to 48 MPH !!

    Great song, thanks for posting!!!

  • @wvsparkbuster

    No problem, bro. :D

  • What is it about this song and speeding along at 100 mph? I turn 50 in a few days and remember flying down I-94 at 100+ mph in my 74 Road Runner when I was 19 years old listening to this incredible album. Full volume of course.

  • @magog77

    "Full volume of course."

    Haha, hell yes.

  • it.most people thought they didnt exist and I was confusing the band name with the Prism song now I get to rub a few faces in it as well lol but thanks again fellow fans

  • THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU at long last I've found you.A buddy of mine had this album way back in the 80's and by that time it was long out of circulation.I had hunted and hunted for it all to no avail. No one had even seemed to hear of these guys and I had given up ever finding it years ago.Since I'd been finding all this old hard find stuff on here I decided for the hell of it to give it a shot not expecting to find anything but low and behold.I fell in love with this tune the moment I heard

  • God bless you

  • @ComputerJunkie00 headphones,max..yeah

  • Those who purchased a few LP's 35-45 years ago were buying a piece of a Musical Renaissance. As profound as the Great Art of the 16th Century and the Great Classical Music of the 18th Century. Hundreds of years from now this music will be viewed exactly that same way. We complain how the music of the present weakly imitates and has no substance. A fool's folly! The best Artists of the 20th Century Music Renaissance can not duplicated any more easily than Mozart or the Sistine Chapel.

  • Oops, I meant most people DON'T know what I'm talking about. Their loss!

  • One of the greatest and most underrated metal ballads of all time. When I bring this song up to people, so people know what I mean. Thanx for posting, because they don't know what their ears are missing. Truly breathtaking!

  • It took me four years to get this on a CD finally about 15 years ago. I like the album quality better, just not the same on CD. I also like the song "Basking In The White Of The Midnight Sun" which slips into "Brother Ego". But "Silver Tightrope" is in the catagory of what I would call "songs that I know that are killer but no one else has even heard before". But all that matters is that I know it exists and I like it...

  • Oh man...Great album. Technics stacked stereo system, 4 speakers in the bedroom taking bong hits before suiting up and hitting the dirt on my YZ250. My album collection was stolen some years back and I truly miss this one...
