A Documentary Movie Trailer of "America's Hometown Hero" - John D. "Bud" Hawk, a Medal of Honor recipient from WWII. This documentary recounts his heroic actions he made on the battle fields of WWII. Those actions led President Truman to fly to Washington State to personally award the Medal of Honor to this true America hero. We need to take time to thank the true heroes of our nation who have made the ultimate sacrifice on the battle field to keep our country safe. Less than 100 Medal of Honor recipients from WWII are still alive, this is the story of one! I had the great privilege of meeting Bud Hawk and editing this documentary with Inventive Productions.

  • GOOD VIDEO !!

  • I've known Bud since I was 14. I'm 51 now. I always knew what he went through. I understood from a young age what his Medal of Honor meant. I was over at Bud's, house yesterday with his son Mark whom I've been best friends with since we were 14 -- that's how I know Bud. I've never seen the DVD, but will now ask him if he has any copies available or maybe I'll just sit down with him and we'll watch it together : )

  • amazing video

  • @kiraparno wow nice war?

  • I met SGT Hawk 10 years ago or so, while collecting donations for the VFW... As a fellow NCO, I knew exactly what that MOH flag was... I wrote a song about meeting him and seeing the medal and citation... I was just blown away by it, and have to go visit him again... I called him yesterday and told him that I had been through this and that in Iraq, but had never done anything like him, and he simply said "I didn't do anything more than anybody else"... Message me if you want me to send the song

  • my two grate uncles died on june 6th 1944 in the d-day landing the were with the brittish infantry!

  • this video it makes me cry

  • I have an autographed copy of a Medal Of Honor citation, which recipient Gary George Wetzel, a Vietnam vet, was kind enough to send to me. It's a little rough, because of losing his writing arm to an enemy rocket. It is one of my prized possesions. These guys are true heroes.

  • Heh, It isn't all just because as michaelharper110 said "it was fucking massive and all because of some nazi prick wanting to "rule earth" mmm original idea. LEST WE FORGET"

That isn't true, it had alot about WW1 (duh) before hitler, he started WW2 because he wanted to be like his idol (the starter of WW1) I don't remember the detales, but it has long history before hitler
