@SRZsmack was a fucked up throttle position sensor, was totally off whack, problem solved the next day and car was running mint. put 300 miles on the rebuild and then got side swiped by a 78 year old man that ran a red light.

@EmX3Ed definatley a vacuum problem... oh wait you posted this a year ago... lawl...

i think 288 is the max for the stock ecu

i just put a new headgasket in my 7mge, and it starts and everything, but it wants to rev at 3000 rpms in nuetral and park, and slams into drive and reverse. Also there is absolutley no power to my car, vacuums? missing a ground?
-
if i turn of my air con in my 89 crez it idles that low
-
i heard if u cam with more the 260 you throw of the ecu...? any problems ?
-
have you noticed performance gains of anykind? what was the difference in lift, duration, and open/close speed?
No problem with running the standard ECU.
Only mod required is to file the dizzy slot so you can set correct timing as the cam dizy gear is a bit out of sync.
Currently running standard ECU with different crystals & pulls strongly to 6700 rpm.

Increase of around 25 RWBHP depending on the cam settings.

Yes the exhaust has to be advanced 3 or 4 degrees otherwise you cannot get enough static advance. Currently running +4 on both cams. Will idle poorly unless you adjust the idle screw on the throttle body.
