whats d difference between a CAI n a SRI?

@1500231 They have a spot to keep it in the tube. its your mass air flow sensor, and you need to have it! (I bet you found your answer somewhere else by now though)

o ok kool thanks bro.

go with obx exhaust man way better i had dc sports traded it for obx check it out on my profile if you want to hear what it sounds like!! just a suggestion

Buy the hydro shield with it. Its cheap (about 25 bucks) and does an outstanding job of keeping water out while not restricting airflow. Trust me, unless you drive your Tibby in a river that covers your wheels you won't have to worry about hydrolock. Splashing in big puddles, heavy rain, and regular washings have no impact on it. Cheers!

That sounds badass I have an 03 gt tib I wana get an injen cai. Just worried about hydrolocking.

Local parts store (O'Reilly). I would imagine any local parts shop would either have them on hand, or can order them for you.
-
hey man, where did you buy the wire set from?
-
7-10 hp. I haven't dyno'd it yet to see what I'm getting out of it. I can feel it though when I'm wearing my lead shoes.
When I drive it easy I can squeeze out an extra 30-45 miles from the tank too. =)

how much power is it supposed to add
Hey to update my last comment. I did get the injen CAI and it sounds awesome. I live in Seattle and it rains alot and i have had no trouble with hydro lock. Im thinking about DC Sports exhaust have the money waiting to what you guys think.??

I can't say I've heard anything bad about them. DC Sports, ARK, Borla, Injen, from what I hear all of them make quality exhaust for Tiburons so its really just a choice of preference and what kind of sound your looking for. Just do your homework and check out videos on YouTube for the various exhaust systems on Tibbys and see what exhaust you like better. Personally I like the sound of ARK dual exhaust on Tiburons, and is what I'm planning on getting sooner or later.

i wana get a cold air intake for my 03 gt v6 tib but i heard tht u have to worry abt driving it when it rains cuz then water will get in it. is tht true?

While it is true that it can happen, it is VERY unlikely as long as you have a quality air filter. For added security you can buy a hydro shield that Injen carries. It is like a glove for your air filter that lets air in but keeps the larger water molecules out.
I've had my CAI on for over a year now and have driven it through some pretty serious rain without problems. As long as you don't drive into water that covers your wheels and sit in it you should be fine. :)

Is the Injen brand the best for this car because i have a 2003 tib and i want CAI and don't know what one to get.

I wouldn't say it is the best because I simply don't have experience with any other CAIs. I can say, however, that Injen's CAI is extremely high quality, easy to install, and gives a nice little boost in performance. I haven't had an opportunity to dyno it but I can definitely feel it. It also gives the engine a nice, aggressive sound under acceleration. Overall I am very pleased with it and would recommend it.
