I don't think the people in clubs that dress like that now understand that dressing up in mad colours and daft clothing makes a lot of sense when you're off your face on ecstacy.
When it's illegal it's fun and adds an extra buzz to the event.
The number of people on pills/mdma/meow has dropped and now it's all about looking cool rather than having a brilliant time.
If I ever have an illegal rave I'll be furious if anybody comes without their pills.

Damn this brings back some memories, tho from 88-98 is stilla bit of a blur to me!! Sunrise, Raindance, Tribal Gathering Sterns, Yikes, Perception, the lisy goes on and on. Been in the dance scene as a Dj and a clubber for 20 odd years now and I got to say..WTF happened to the music? There`s just NO talent anymore, no more loved up atmosphere. It`s all about the profit:( The scene was sooo muchbetter when it was underground.
