the only good thing i can see in your video is the Kim block heater! if only generac built their products as good as kim does! but i will give them credit..they are geniuses at marketing...to making consumers believe they are buying a good product..and their 'own' made engine? assembled in usa, all pieces imported from good ol china!

thats what i meant....generacs have the same (lack of) quality that plagued coleman..,build em as cheap as possible, buyer beware!

@whoooru There wasnt anything good about the Colemans. They were cheap and thats why they arent around anymore.

the Generac should be compared to chinese generators..they shouldnt be mixed in with Good usa makes, like cummins, kohler, winco; especially now that the colemans are history!

i would check to make sure it is set up for the correct fuel , nat gas and lp have different settings.

Thanks for the info. I don't think that's the problem -- I did the propane conversion myself. I'm on my 5th voltage regulator. Finally (dah) I realized that if I turn down the current draw to 2.5kw (it is "rated" at 15kw) then the VRs won't burn up, takes a lot longer to charge up my batteries.

Yes, 16 L16s so even at 2.5kw it doesn't take long to top them off -- I never let them drop below 70%

Yes, the authorized Generac Repair group in my area came out and tore the system apart to find that the flywheel and shaft were never mated. The flywheel hole was too big for the shaft and the key didn't lock it in. It wobbled spintered the thin metal connector piece to the actuator. A new one was ordered and replaced in the unit for a repair cost $50 more than the original unit cost 110 operating hours earlier. No warrantee, Generact said the unit was not installed 6 ft from a home.
