US Military Equipment on BNSF Train at Goreville IL 5-13-10

BNSF 8944 and 559 lead a local freight from Paducah KY to Centralia IL. The train is seen at a rural crossing south of Goreville IL. This is Union Pacific track that BNSF has trackage rights over from Nielson Jct to Vienna Jct. The train is carrying several military loads that came off the Paducah and Louisvile Railway. In 2010 this line sees about 10-14 UP coal trains, and 2-4 BNSF trains per day.

the green boxes after the track vehicles are rocket pods, each hold 6 rockets or 1 big rocket
