On display at LASM: May 22 - July 18, 2010
This is time-lapse footage of the Siren's Call installation at the Louisiana Art & Science Museum in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. The installation took place from May 17 - 21, 2010 in LASM's Soupçon Gallery, and museum guests were able to watch the formation of the piece as it happened. Heller constructs her installations from cheap consumer goods such as chicken wire and plastic plates, or what she calls the bric-a-brac we discard but use in an often gluttonous capacity.
The visuals are set to the song "Ghosts of the Garden City" by Caspian.
