I echo annkreed's comments below. And I wish I knew what I could do, to show solidarity with and support for the Iranian protesters (I live in Seattle, so I don't know if wearing black will be noticed). Stay strong, Iranians!

Because the attack was a response to the protests which are being held by a student led population. The militia is from what I understand under the control of the IRG which is essentially Komenei's wing of the military.

I may have that wrong, but that is what I've gotten loosly off of Fark.

Where do the militia get their firearms? The iranian government should address this question, and why the police did not protect students from these type of attacks.
