Serena and Nate were together. But one day S found out that Nate cheated on her with her bestfriend Blair Waldorf. In the middle of the school, Serena went to talk with Blair and she told Nate what happened later. Nate took the chance to go talk with Serena. He tried to hold her hand but she pulled away.

Later on the day they meet each other again on the mask ball. Nate tried to talk with her but she went to the Ladies room. When she got out he was there waiting for her. But she got mad and pulled him away walking out off the party. He still saw her entering inside the cab. He hide how much he was depressed with that he drank and Blair saw him with a sad face.

Some days after that. Blair planned a party on her house and thought that it was nice invitate Nate to make him a little more happy. But Nate couldn't stay there without think in Serena. It was when Serena walked inside the room. Nate heard that she was there and walked after her. In the end they stay looking at each other trying to find a solucion for their problem.

That was obvious with a new start.
