Sorry Walsh, not Trane changes. He is playing off of the tri-tone sub. So...instead of D7/D7/G7/G7 on the first 4 bars of the bridge, you can do A-D7/Eb-Ab7/D-G7/Ab-Db7

  • For all of you who said mean things about Eric, don't forget he was in the Basie Band, and Basie did not hire stiffs...

  • @altosax314 he's playing trane changes isn't he? if im wrong im deleting this comment in shame

  • @altosax314 guess you would know all about that? bet ur still playing that alto papa bought you and made u play at all those family reunions in your pissed up short pants. Guess life was hard for some folk? Dont work "destruction of rhythm changes" will make you feel like a man ;-)

  • @decus69 :) Middle school's a hard time in your life, huh? Don't worry, it will get better as you get older.

  • @altosax314 your a dick, thats if u got one. you transcribe his shit fool.

  • @decus69 Damn, I guess I'd better stop teaching, then. Thanks for pointing that out. Out of curiosity, what harmonic device does Eric use in the first 2 bars of the bridge at 2:07? I'm only asking because you obviously "know shit," and that type of substitution, which he outlines as clearly as humanly possible, is something you would learn in your first harmony class or book, so you MUST know.
