http://www.autowerksofamerica.com/ DIY Video shows how to remove a BMW fan and replace a BM fan clutch. It's easily done with a few simple tools. It helps to have the spanner wrench to remove the fan. The tools can be easily found on eBay. Check around because prices vary a lot. Check out more articles and videos on the AutoWerks of America website.

  • i still dont get how to remove fan

  • @aLex0kain Thanks for asking. Have you made an attempt? Can you tell me what particular part you don't understand? I'd be happy to provide additional guidance.

  • @AutoWerksofAmerica Ya i tried to remove, but i guess i cant do without that special tool, i ordered now, and waiting for it come. Ima going to replace serpentine belt on my 1994 325i bmw and put new pulleys, any suggestion before my 1st attempt? thnx for the reply.

  • @aLex0kain Three suggestions come to mind: 1) Rubber mallet to the wrench might help get the fan off. 2) Pay attention to the route of the belt, making a sketch for when you install the new one. 3) We have some other related videos that might be helpful for your project. Thanks again for contacting us, and best of luck on your project. (OH - wear safety glasses when under the car, and follow all other safety precautions on your owner's manual or service manual.)

  • If you’re referring to the removal of the fan as shown in this M3, it would be the same. Facing the front of the car the nut gets turned to the right. It’s a left-handed thread, so it turns the opposite direction from most other things you work on. We hope that helps you. Good luck on your project, and thanks for watching!
