Sailing the Hobie Adventure with Daggerboard down, no Miragedrive, on a broadreach in 10 -15 knots of wind with stronger gusts. Sail mostly furled. Average speed 4.3 knots, max speed 7.2 knots, distance 5.6 km.

  • Did you have to make tweaks to the Adventure kayak to get it to hold the sail kit when not in use? I know there is the bungee straps for the paddle but wasn't sure if I'd need to buy/add another set for the sail when not using it (like in your video).

    The sail furled around the mast fits nicely in the spare paddle holder. I usually carry the sail inside the hull and the mast in the spare paddle holder when I'm not actually sailing.

    How do you furl the sail around the mast, looked like you were just pulling on a cord or something. Nice video by the way, ordered my Adventure with sail this morning.
