The song is Alas, Alas! (ΑΧ! ΒΑΧΙ!), a song of Thasos, taken from the Guardians of Hellenism VOL 7, MACEDONIA AND THASSOS. The singer is Stamatis Grielas.

Translation:

'Oh me, alas! The troubles of love,
Oh me, alas! Day and night I am tormented!
Oh me, alas! I'm dying for love,
oh,of you I sing, it's you my heart wants,
Oh me, alas! The troubles of love,
Oh, your fine hair, oh, your lovely body!
Oh me, alas! The troubles of love,
Oh your curly ringlets, oh if I could only sleep with you in my arms!

  • dear Yani, simply you are continuing your wonderful work that you have started my friend, keep up !! and as always wonderful pictures and song 5/5

  • the demotic is not greek letters, you are confused about it.

just take a look at the signs!

they are using the greek text and the egyptian text to "assign"

meaning to the demotic text. thats not "reading" the demotic

Tentov is reading the demotic and finding new details, not

found in the greek or egyptian.

by the way if romans assimilated the barbarians, you should know that it's precisely italian scientists who don't believe in the theory of the coming of the slavs.

    maybe they know something..

  • @mirwhitty , south Slavs suffer from a nationalist deficiency because they lack the ancient roots of the people in the area around them. True to their communist training, they can use history and rewrite it to cater to their political aspirations. Russians suceeded in today's world because they actually did something glorious of their own, instead of trying to claim an Ancient Civilization which Slavs know very little about.

  • @mirwhitty , you talk of megali idea but you are still quoting variations of gingoistic pan-slavism. There is no relation between the Ancient Macedonians and the Slavs who want to be called Macedonians today. The latter just want to have a glorious history, and yet can't even pronounce Macedonian names like Thessaloniki. As for the Rosetta stone, all scholars agree about the third language being Egyptian demotic, meaning, the Egyptian language written in Greek type characters.

  • @Gothian999Prophet

impossible to fill your head with reality, if it's already full of greek megali idea propaganda!

anyways it doesn't matter what you think,

Tentov and Boshevski deciphered many ancient texts both inside and outside Macedonia,

even the Russian Academy acknowledged that the text on the rosetta stone is Proto-Slavic

and that ancient Macedonians were Proto Slavs.

by the way, you can't hurt me with name calling,

you just make me think you are frustrated with the facts

  • @Gothian999Prophet

    Ancient Macedonians were also Slavs,

you can't manipulate the historic truth any longer, hiding behind "Slavs came in the 5 century"

because all evidence shows Slavs were where they are today for the last 20,000 years or more.

all ancient text found in Macedonia, Egypt, Dura Europos, all are in Proto-Slavic,

now go take your medicine, you really need it

  • εξαιρετικη ,συγκροτημενη δουλεια!!

  • faristo yanitsaro gia to video ego ime apo thasso ;)

  • I didn't add nothing more that is outside of Macedonia.. The question is why everybody as adding to themselves something that is from Macedonia..

They are Greek since 1912.. Greece didn't existed before 1821!

And we were talking about the RED color as the symbol of the Macedonians, which is included in these costumes from Chalkidiki, Serres, Drama & Thasos, as the rest of Macedonian costumes. I think there is a Macedonian video with the traditional costumes.

  • Really, it's in Albania, huh?

Debar (Macedonian: Дебaр,Mk-Debar.ogg [ˈdɛbar] (help·info); Albanian: Dibra) is a city in the western part of the Republic of Macedonia. The name of the city in Macedonian is Debar (Дебар), in Albanian Dibër or Dibra, in Serbian Debar (Дебар), in Bulgarian Debar (Дебър), in Turkish Debre and in Greek, Dibrē (Δίβρη) or Dibra (Δίβρα).

You got all your answers right..

  • I never said he was Slav, I said he was Macedonian..

The fortress of Scenderbeg was in Debear, today R.of Macedonia - that's why he got his nick name as macedonian general!

  • Ah, yanitsaros, yanitsaros.. you speak non-sense!

See the coat of arms and you'll see there is 1.Macedonian and there is 6.Bulgarian - why do we need to take someone else's ?

    watch?v=y7RkFCrllFU

Scanderbeg is from Debar, and it's Macedonian!

He was called Lord Alexander by Turks because he was a brilliant general from Macedonia!

Alexander can't be identified with Greek because Greeks didn't existed in that time, but rather as Hellen which was a cultural belonging rather then ethnicity.
