Denny's was not bad then. My experience has rather been the reverse of you posters--I never got to go as a child when these ads were run in the 70s (my Dad would say if it's open 24 hours, it can't be any good). By the early 80s, I went whenever I could. The pies were good, spaghetti ditto, and they had a savory delicious eggs benedict...and excellent coffee. They took a dive in the late 90s. Both Bob's and Denny's were great. Now it's only IHOP for breakfast and Coco's for anything else.

Man, Denny's sure never had this '70's Feelgood Vibe', when I used to go. It was more like cold coffee, rubbery french fries and dead flies. Oh, and chicken bones in the plants.
