Just think of it this way, What about George Lucas' Star Wars? there is some older films which had that same credit scroll, and many more. But who knows...A good film is a good film, regardless of what is copied, ghostwritten, it's just which one film you watched first, and then you can blame, if you want, basically, it's too late to bring it to justice now, if you watched a film now, what really makes a difference? But in reality, this is Hollywood folks, not the first time this has happened...

Tarantino is a very accomplished hack.

i don't think he is really saying that resevoir dogs is a shitty movie, i think he is just annoyed that tarantino didn't give credit where credit is due (i.e. 'infernal affairs' and 'the departed', scorsese credits it as a remake and i believe they were even going to use the original title at one point).

you should get Tarantino by the toe and admit that he ripped it off...."SAY YOU DID IT!"...after sunmission he says "OK I DID!".....but i'm not saying either film is bad ..but he should admit that his"originals"..are remakes...

I don't think I have to to determine that the vast majority of both movies are not contained within this 10 minute YouTube video.

Probably not. But thoses parts aren't just one scene of both movies. They represent all the important story lines.

Well, a significant chunk of time in Reservoir Dogs is spent on the introduction of the characters, most specifically Tim Roth's character. Without Tim Roth's material, namely tons of the dialogue (including the famous "joke" scene), Reservoir Dogs would be a significantly different movie, and there are no comparisons between those two elements. There are definitely significant similarities, but then again, a bank robbery with an undercover cop isn't intricately original either.

I agree. To me, RD was about the before-and-aftermath of a City-on-fire-situation.
