Done this effect loads of different ways (I spend way more time in live making mad noises than is probably healthy) but I love this method! Thanks a lot, that was also a great idea about the relative speeds of the spaceships, got my mind goin.

@glitchnoise I studied about synthesis online. Sampler is basically a synth that allows you to using any source sound (like with all samplers). If you know digital synthesizers, then most samplers are a no-brainer. But the key is to listen really closely to an already-made sound, then try and remake it using the available tools. Thanks! :-)

@Ketomorphik it's coming from a sqeeky crane recording as shown in video. But you can use any sound.
