About our project:
We started Ponniyin Selvan in Nov'2007. It took as two years to finalize various characters and all pre production details. As of now we have almost completed 60 to 70 episodes and it is ready for post production.
COMMERCIAL ASPECT:
I. Tele serial
We have planned 300 episodes of 26 minutes each. The approximate cost of entire production would be roughly 2 to 2.5 lacs per episode, totaling to a minimum of Rs. 6 crores and the maximum of Rs. 7.5 crores.
We are looking at an investment of any size up to 45% of the total cost. You can choose the size of investment as per your comfort level.
SALE REALISATION:
Revenue can be generated to the following ways:
1. Tele serial in Tamil, where the advertisement can such as a minimum of 1.5 lacs per episode, after all expenditure.

2. The Tele Serial can be sold in a content form to other regional languages such as Telugu, kannada, Malayalam and Hindi from where we can generate a revenue between 75 lacs to 150 lacs.

3. The Tele serial will be converted in to 10 parts of 2 ½ hrs to 3 hrs. Each which will be provided for home videos and approximately Rs.300 per CD, where this subject has a huge Tamil loving audience all over the world at least 2 million copies can be sold.

4. Overseas and international rights
We can at least generate a minimum of 40% revenue and the investment.
The time of completion for the project will be 12 to 18 months. The telecast can be started from the 90th day, so the entire period would be 24 months.
1. Features:
We have planned to produce at three hrs future film about Ponniyin Selvan, where the entire story of Ponniyin selvan will be narrated in the first half and thereafter in the second half, there is a very interesting drama sequence which will be narrated in the second half of the story after Sendan Amudan becomes the king.
The cost of the project would be 1.5 to 2 crores. A portion of the total expenditure is added in the cost of the Tele serial production.
This will be exhibited in Theatres, Home Dvd and Overseas. Exhibiting rights will be sold.
