It hit were I lived on the 13 and 14 and I had a tornado in my back yard

That was a rough day, hell it was a rough month. we got 3 named storms in 4 weeks that year. I was in southern polk county and we still had winds at 115. Couldnt imagine what yall went through a few counties south though.

i remember that hurricane i was living in cape coral at the time and sitting on my front porch, luckyly the way my front porch was facing we were safe to watch outside

um your about four years late on the info...Charley was in 2004 not 2008....It was one hell of a storm though i was down on teh san carlos and bonita boarder and we had winds reported at higher speeds than most of cape coral...but port charlotte got the worst, some are still recovering...

i was in florida at that time in hotel :( scary stuff for first sighting of hurricanes

I was lucky to move from Cape Coral the year before charley, even tho i would have liked to see this. Btw what part of town is this, I lived on Edith Esplanade.
