First of all, if you're playing the SuperMarioBros theme, you aren't a real musician. My teacher is a real musician, and she has never played video game music. At least not from old games like that. I've never even heard of it. I'm trying to get our band to do the music from Grand Theft Auto, that would be rad! And probably would have a big flute part. If we do it he told me we'd wear big fuzzy leapord hats so we look like gangsters.

I really love playing in the band but I wouldn't mind playing more classical songs like this Mozart if it had clarinet parts. It sounds like you and I have a lot in common with our love of music and of the instruments we play. Flute better than clarinet though? Hmmmmmm....

I don't want to saound "braggy" or anything (my band director can't stand it if we brag), but I got to play first clarinet on the SuperMarioBros theme at our summer band camp concert last Friday night. It was a hoot!! CPMNFL, I respect the fact that you had a life altering experience hearing that Mozart song live from ticketmaster (whatever that is), but I really feel that playing the clarinet solo on the SuperMarioBros theme for me was a similar life changing experience.

I have a friend in band who knows just about everything their is to know about "classical" music. As for me, I can't just go here a symphony anytime I want. I live 20 minutes away from where the closest symphony performs. If there was one in my town, things would probably be different.

CC, if you don't know much about clasicle music, you shouldn't post here! A department store? I went to see this live, and it was a life changing experiance. You should go to ticketmaster and get a ticket to a real symphony sometime instead of band. I played in band last year and we did our halftime show to this song. It was totally rad, and we got to wear neat hats with planets on them. I play second flute. it's alot better than clarinet any day.

Love the floating fetus at the end. Nice touch! I think I heard that piece in a department store once when I was shopping with my mom. It's pretty cool but I usually don't like classical music that doesn't have clarinets because clarinet is the coolest instrument in my band.
