This video is a response to a number of Hapkido lock/flow drills that are available on YouTube. After observing several, we wanted to show our method of generating/applying force in Hapkido. The series of locks we are using is common to a number of Hapkido videos---and so it should be easy to compare our method of power generation to some of the other styles. The video isn't always completely clear and coherent (it wasn't scripted, discussed prior to filming, or even edited) but hopefully it gets the point across as to what we consider fundamental to making control techniques work.
