Welcome to Richmond Sign & Design Services, Inc. We hope this video helps you achieve great results in applying your vinyl decals. I tried to cover all of the basics of vinyl decal application / installation so you can avoid common mistakes. Like everything else, having the right tools is half the battle ! I have perfected my techniques over 20 years in the business and they have been proved and tested. You can't cover everything, so I welcome you to inquire here on the comments or go to my website ... http://www.richmondsigns.com if you need more information for your vinyl application dilemma. We are more than happy to help and maybe we can send YOU out some decals .... we're more than happy to give free estimates and can make just about any decal under the sun ... and with 3M and Oracal High Performance films ... they will even hold up to the sun's beating ! Thanks for stopping by ... hope we helped !

  • I would recommend new decals. Adhesive not made for vinyl will eventually cause it to fail again but you can try some 3M spray adhesive for a temporary fix.

  • can u spray clear coat(spray paint) over the vynil

  • @408427 Yes, you can. They make specific spray laminates for vinyl and are recommended. You can also spray paint , you just have to be careful to do multiple thin coats. Since the spray is not intended for such use, too heavy a spray can damage or bubble the vinyl. I would mist coat lightly and allow to dry briefly between coats until you build up an even finish. Or let the first coat dry completely and then build it heavy as you want. Once the edges and surface is sealed it should be fine.

  • Where is the best place to buy decals or graphics like sports (Colts or Vols) and stuff like that.

  • @TheRocketman78 NFL and NCAA items are a little tricky because of licensing and copyrights. They have lots of stuff in the licensed stores, but I believe if you want something custom a sign shop or the likes could make it for you with no problem for personal use. Please don't quote me on the legalities of it, for I am not completely sure. You might want to check ebay ... that could be a good resource.

Or even try the fathead site ...

  • great video, hinging in the center solved my application perplexity. My sheets were approx 12" x 40", and I was done in no time at all. THANKS!
