August Jam 2009 - Doug Kinnear

The end of Summer 2009 is another good reason to get outside and jam on the porch. There's no other place to be when it gets this hot and the Aerodyne Strat is asking for some attention. Video was recorded in Del Mar on August 20. The rhythm pattern (Em7 to Cmaj/G) is written to sound good and be easy to play, the only kind of music I know!

As far as I know, they have been discontinued from Fender but.. would try ebay or Craig's list, maybe there is someone out there wanting to sell theirs. I just googled Fender Aerodyne Strat and a few things came up.  For the price, it is a really decent guitar - there are some things you can do to beef it up. Let me know if you get one and I will suggest a few things and thanks for listening.

@dkinnear Hi Doug, I really enjoy the music that you have posted. I also have a Fender Aerodyne Strat and a Boss Looper pedal. I'd love to hear your suggestions for upgrades. I love my Aerodyne... especially the neck. Keep posting the great music. Maybe I'll be able to get a video camera and also post some jams.

You're so right about the neck on these guitars, finely crafted and a breeze to play. Hope you get a camera and post soon, easier to suggest upgrades after I see. I warn people that all the pedals in the world cannot help more than practice so keep on playing and having fun with your Aerodyne. I am an old man, there is still time for you!

Thanks for your nice comments - they are much appreciated. The overdrive sounds is from a Boss Blues Driver distortion pedal (BD2) which I used with three other Boss pedals - a Prase Looper (RC-20), a Digital Delay (DD2) and a Chromatic Tuner (TU2).
