2007 Machias Rotary Club Radio Auction County Wide TV News

The biggest fundraiser for the Machias Rotary Club is the Radio Auction. The event began nearly 40 years ago and was on radio for one afternoon. Now it is on the radio, cable (although some in East Machias reported difficulty getting the TV portion) and for the first time some items were previewed on the internet.

The event takes teams of Rotarians acting as producers, phone bankers (is that a word?) auctioneer, on-air personalities and go-fers. Watch and see Washington County civic minded Rotarians raise funds for their projects in an event headquartered at Machias Memorial High School.
