The North of the State of Mato Grosso is covered almost entirely by the immense and mystic Amazon Jungle.
The Xingu and Teles Pires rivers are home of some of most magnificent waterfalls and whitewaters. The Juruena river originates in the Parecis Plateau which runs parallel to the Teles Pires river towards north, eventually encountering each other and forming the exuberant Tapajos river. Cristalino river is also well known for its transparent and crystalline water.
It is a worthwhile getting through their whitewaters and waterfalls to experience and contemplate the scenery nature in the Mato Grosso's Amazon region.
