It was almost dark when she got back. "Where have you been?" Terry asked her in the second she entered. She took her shoes of. "At the dream river." She replied. "The what?" He asked. She sighed. "A river behind the forrest. Its really beautiful." She entered the kitchen, and smelled her daddys homemade chicken. "Yum!" She said. He smiled. "So how was your day?" He asked. She sat down in the couch. "Its been fine," She thought for a second. "Dad, how did mom exactly die?" She asked. "Ive told you so many times, bud." His smile was gone. "I know, but... there must be a reason why she drived into those people." He sighed. "Well, she was talking on her phone. Thats a huge mistake so many people make." He continued talking, but Selena didnt listen. Then it hit her inside. The woman who drived into Joes parents, were talking on the phone! That must mean.. Oh no! "D-dad?" "Yes, hun?" He said. "N-never mind." She walked off to her room. She didnt want to tell her dad. Her mom killed Joes parents. Not on purpose, of course. But it had to be her. They all died 5 months ago and it all matched. She called Joe. "Hey Joe, h-hows Nick?" She stroke her hair back. "Hes fine. We're at the hospital. Whats up?" He asked. "Uhm, I have something to tell you." "What? Are you OK?" "Actually, no." "What happened?" "I found out that my mom drived into your parents 5 months ago." She felt the tears build up. "Was that her? Are you sure?" He whispered. "It all matches. My mom were talking on her phone, she drived into two people, they all died. 5 months ago." A tear streamed down her pale face. "S-Selena, dont cry, I'll be at your house in 10. Just hang in there." He hung up. She quickly wiped the tears away. She promised herself not to cry over her mom anymore. She missed her terribly much. She pulled a shuffle out and took up a picture of her mom. She looked at it, and more tears build up. "I love you, momma." She whispered underneath her breath. The tears were streaming down her face, as she tried not to make too much sound. She didnt want her dad to come in and talk to her. All she needed was a friend. All she needed was Joe.

6 minutes later Joe knocked on her window. She slowly opened it, wiping her tears away. He pulled her into a hug. "Its all right." Was all he said, before he let her cry hard into his chest. He stroke her hand through her hair, and kissed her forehead. "Shhh." He whispered. She stopped crying and sat down on her bed. "Im sorry, call me a baby." She wiped the tears away. "No, theres nothing wrong with crying." He smiled and stroke her cheek. Its OK. He mumbled and looked away. "Joe—," "Selena, its all right. I dont blame you; its not your fault at all. Just dont tell Nick, he wont understand. Hell blame you." He looked at her. She nodded slowly and looked down. "My life sucks." He smiled a little. "Dont say that." She sighed. "Is Nick all right?" Joe looked away again. "Not sure." "What?! You said he was fine!" He raised his eyebrows. "Well, if he means that much to you hes gonna be fine." Selena shook her head a little. "He means nothing to me. Its like he has no heart." She sighed. "He might seen heartless, but believe me, he didnt use to be. He use to smile. All the time." "Hard to believe." Selena mumbled. He nodded. "Are you coming to the party tomorrow?" She nodded. "Great." She looked at him. "Is Nick coming?" He looked down. "I dont think so." Selena sighed. He smiled at her. "Joe, stop." She couldnt help but smile back. "You love my brother!" He smiled big, and began tickling her. "No, I dont! Joe, stop! Joe!" She laughed, trying to get his hands of her stomach. He stopped. "You love him." "I dont." "You do." "I dont!" "You do." "I—" Suddenly he leaned in and kissed her lips passionately. She enjoyed his soft lips pressed against hers, but it felt weird. He pulled away slowly, still with their noses touching. He looked her in the eyes and kissed her rougher and rougher. She deepened it, and pushed him down, until he was on top of her. The only one running through her mind was Nick.
