This was recorded at the Concord California Guitar Center using a Prosonus Fire Mobile interface and a Macbook Pro. This way you can hear with your own ears the sound of what is probably one of the largest selling points of this keyboard, the piano sound. Later in the video I sample some of the other piano sounds as well. Enjoy

  • Hi, can you compare kronos piano sounds and the hammer key (88) feeling with roland rd700nx or a motif xf8? ty

  • @00DirectorsCut00 They all feel fine honestly with Yamaha's action being the lightest of the three. I can't recommend one over the other. I don't mind a heavy feel along as the sound is playable.

  • Very well played and recorded. I'm thinking of getting a TC Electronic Impact Twin as an audio interface between my Kronos and my Mac. Do you have any opinion about it vs the Prosonus you used?

  • @Halunlimited The only other interface maker Ive had experience with is MOTU. I have a Traveler as my main interface. I don't need all the ins and outs but it works well. Presonus I like for their pre-amp. Interface works well.

  • Amazing piano performance !!!

  • At 3.42 onwards you can hear the bass notes cutting off like mad! I wonder if the pianist even noticed.

  • @Halunlimited All you actually need is a usb cable, the kronos itself can act as a 4in/2out audio/midi interface for your mac (or so the spec sheet says). I hope that helps, it save you a few pennies.

  • @Royalorgans The nord has a slightly better sound however with very very limited ability to change the sound much. The kronos offers alot more flexibility and really it is a beautiful sound that'll sound genuine in the right mix.

  • what kind of amp are you using,

  • What do you think sound the best out of the Korg Kronos, Nord stage 2, Yamaha XF and Roland V Piano. im wanting to buy the piano for practicing classical, and my ear is set on the real thing that sound closet to the original

  • flawless! I have the MOX8 and I'm really thinking I should upgrade. You get what you pay for. It's a solid keyboard but I'm thinking I need to get something bigger like ES or even this one!

  • @hnsmusic thank you :)
