Footage from Resnais' 1961 arthouse classic "L'année dernière à Marienbad" accompanied by one of the best tracks on Philippe Besombes "Libra" album. Originally released in 1975 as the soundtrack to an otherwise silent avant garde film by Roland Moreau, Georges Perdriaud & Jean Talansier.

wow! great! imagine if you could travel back in time, loaded on acid or shrooms, and suddenly end up in that snobby house, with your long hair or whatever separates you from 1961!! creepy indeed... like a bad dream, with those actors at 3:20 deciding your luck thru their wicked card games... btw: i have the album and there's no two ways about it- it's a masterpiece and an absolute trip!

Excellent montage ! Une musique qui nous ramène loin en arrière. Nous avions la primeur sur Resnais... as-tu reçu la copie revue de Libra ?

I absolutely LOVE this record - and most of Pôle records catalog. Ironically, Phillipe Besombes made a name for himself producing heavy metal of all things back in the 80's. Last I had checked, he was still doing production work in France.
