  • Yes, that's part of the road. It's Wildrose, which connects Death Valley to Panamint Valley via Emigrant Pass, instead of the more commonly used (and fully paved) Hwy 190 over Towne Pass. All the flash floods in that canyon make it all but impossible to keep that whole road fully paved. But it's fine in a car and fine on a bike (even better when going uphills, as compared to downhill like we did on that particular road).
