This is video of our new baby, Ridley. He's a Black and White Argentine Tegu. Alongside is Hazel, our cat, being quite fascinated with the new member of the family.

  • is he still in this tank? or did you build something bigger. theyre monsterous

  • Oh yes, I moved him into a bigger tank ages ago. Check out my 2 other videos of him in the bigger enclosure. I'd post a more recent video, but my camera was stolen last week. I need to start thinking of building another take even now. He's starting to outgrow the bigger one already.

  • why is your tegu on sand and in a fish tank? That's sad hey, seriously, rehome to someone that knows about these lizards!!!!!

  • Calm down chief. First of all, it's aspen bedding. Second of all, he's been in a custom enclosure I built for a while now. He was in this tank just until I got it built. Look at the other video I have and see.

  • B-e-a-utiful Tegu.Nice set, and you better watch your cat, they think their food, but once Ridley grows up, Hazel will become the hunted. ll

  • My cat is definitly intrigued, but hardly a threat. She's a terrible hunter. She once cornered a mouse out on the porch and just stared at it, almost like she didn't know what to do next. Said mouse ended up escaping.

  • @Ventrimac umad? lol look carefully and research about the guy before u start sayin' stuff

  • Lol Ventrimac that looks nothing like sand so in this case I'd say u know nothing :) k thx haha...and hes in a fish tank when hes a baby ooo nooo not that u fool he only needs a bigger tank when he starts growing bigger fool

  • @1992pattrow the difference is that a tegu could probably destroy that cat. Nothing against cat's or dogs (have a dog) but that lizard probably has much stronger jaws and is much larger.

  • plz i need help should i get a savannah monitor or argentine black and white tegu

BTW nice vid but a little grainy

  • I don't let my 3 cats near my Bearded Dragons or Tokay Geckos.

  • my cat does the exact same thing with all of my geckos lol. btw nice tegu id love to get one some day

  • meu aquário nm eh grande o suficiente^^
