I think the reason some cats use their paws is because of the shape of their faces. Particularly with Persians. In a curved bowl it can be difficult for them to actually reach the food by normal means. Cute video though. :)

there high rollers lol.

this is amazing and they do it because of their flat noses, they have difficulty trying to pick up their food. they are soooooooooo beautiful, no matter how they eat.

What is your grandmother going to think when she sees her heirloom china being used for pet food? Great vid. My KumarKitty chases down kitty treats and picks them up to eat with his paw; he's ambidextrous. Thanks.

Adorable!!!! Well, persian cats usually eat like this since their facial bone structure (almost flat) does not allow them to grab food easily directly with their mouth. Persian is one of the most affectionate and gentle among cats, totally love it!!!

This is soooo cute. My cat Sebastian does the same thing! Even when he was a kitten he would reach into the bowl and scoop up his food. Such a sweet kitty. :)
What I find most strange about this video is that the cat is eating out of, what appears to be, nice china.
