You were nervous. The melody notes on the first word Summertime, was only one note. After that, smooth, real smooth. Excellent phrasing, and dynamic control. I agree, a simple long will suffice. However, the melody must be established, thereafter, expanded. Simply put: the ear trains on the hook.

I've decided not to play first two notes ("Summer" notes) because DD-7 would record them and then playback on each loop - hope you understand how Boss DD-7 works, and thanks for your comment

That's a very nice sound coming out of your acs! How did you create this sound? (looping part is obviously out of the dd7 40 second recording time) But is the delay a big influence on the sound itself? Or are you running it through an AER amp or something?

Yes I run it through an Aer Alpha input 1 - it's a nice sounding amp and...
No, DD-7 has not a big influence on the sound.
