Communism in North Korea. The fifth installment of a Complete History of Communism written , illustrated, narrated by New York City singer/songwriter/cartoonist anti-folk artist Jeffrey Lewis. A low-budget video, as Jeffrey calls his presentation.
@TheTollundWoman [cont2] btw here is an article showing a north korean person on a cellphone, the article is from SK so it's in korean but i suppose you can run googletranslate. :P
@TheTollundWoman [cont] btw north koreans do use cellphones and internet does exist though it is more like a closed network. life in NK IS horrid, but facts are facts and then there are heated opinions... as terrible as it is, history should not be summed up in a few words, and many rewrite history and are not condemned enough for it. [which reminds me of those crazy people who tried to assert that the korean lettering came from outer space.. made stone carvings and all, lol]
@TheTollundWoman o_O... I am also pretty sure that the dictators of NK are terrible tyrants, but dongsoola has a point as well. many people were actually taken away, tortured, murdered just because someone touted them to be a 'communist' for decades, and as a person from SK, i can't say that the forceful occupation by the States was entirely a good thing[because not all of the world needs dabbling or burying agent orange and other toxic chemicals before reguations even existed, thanks]
It was a typo, I have an outdated laptop and some of the keys are close to dysfunctional. Is that your only rebuttal, to criticize a spelling error, instead of responding to the historical facts I cited?
Thats completely fale. The South Korean govt. called for an election, but Kim Il-Sung refused, knowing that the communists (pawns of the Soviet imperialists) had no hope of winning democratic elections. Instead of letting the people decide their own fate the Communists set up a dictatorship and slaughtered anyone who dared protest.,
You're entitled to your own perverse opinions- but not to your own facts. Can't rewrite history.
