  • This video is miss leading... because the law actually states that you could keep a loaded gun in the car console... WITHOUT a permit.

Having the permit makes you legally able to put the gun any where you want, under the seat etc, or just to carry it on your body with a holster.

  • It's misleading... not Miss Leading... And uh... Are you on drugs?

  • Why should a free, law abiding citizen have to have a permit to exercise a constitutionally protected right? If criminals want to ILLEGALLY shoot someone, do you think they give a rats ass that it is ILLEGAL for them to have the weapon that they plan to break the law with anyway??

  • I'm very liberal socially and am also a gun owner.

That said, I think having a ccw permit would make no difference. The person who would shot a police officer or anyone without proper justification wouldn't heed concealed carry laws anyway. The people who would obey these laws are the probably people who are responsible with their weapons in the first place.

  • Why don't felons have to pay instead of us? What about if we make it a law that anyone who CANNOT own/carry/possess a firearm have a large bright pink sticker on their rear window and their windshield alerting officers to whomever isn't supposed to have 1 in the vehicle. If you're a convicted felon, you can't ride in a car that doesn't have a pink ticket on it. No, this will NEVER happen, as it might hurt someone's feelings. If it did, it would become a fashion statement to have 1 on your car.

  • what a fucking moronic thing for a CCW permit holder to say.

  • I live in GA and not once in the 13 years I've been here have I ever wished I had a firearm in the car. I say this to rebutt one person's claim of "all that crime down there." Granted, like any major metro area there are some safer places and places where I would not set foot (SW Atlanta). I am glad this law passed to legally carry a concealed weapon in the car so at least I have the option without the hassle of getting a permit. Still, I just don't feel the need to carry a gun in the car.

  • @NosoCOMINSOON i agree. its just hard because i live in massachusetts which is one of the most liberal states in the country so it's hard when i'm alone in the battlefield ya know.

  • @gocolts1490 Thats nice that you want to move to Georgia but if you disagree with your states laws then instead of abandoning it you should try and change it. That's what this country is all about, take pride in your state so we can all enjoy laws like these in Georgia. I think that we all need to,especially citizens of California, challenge all the ridiculous laws for licensing and getting permits. That's my home state and I resume to do just that when I get back from college.

  • @flazzyg no prob dude you people like you also ginve me a little bit of hope too. keep on shooting!

  • Thanks for letting m know you agree. I was afraid the whole world had gone mad. You give me a glimmer of hope.

  • @flazzyg you got it right dude.

  • A law abiding citizen could have a full on arsenal in the car with them and they would be no more threat to a cop than the trucks and cars passing on the road during the stop. Criminals don't research or adhere to any laws and will aquire anything they set their minds to getting. If I were a cop I would want everyone to be armed so that I am never alone during a hostile situation. Anyone that thinks a cop will be there when the shit goes down is a moron. This is not rocket science people!

  • the difference between the citizen and criminal is that even if you are an 'unstable' ass citizen...all you need to see is someone like you get crazy with cops only to see the story end with that civee face down on the hot pavement.

civilians, even unstable ones will be less willing to risk getting turned into popcorn or jail time.

    criminals...less risk averse.
