I made myself watch some of the Grammies the other night and it reminded that I've loved music and always will but, Man, do i hate the business. Listen to the cats on this cut and think about how their names are forgotten (if they were ever known) except Amos, maybe. Then look at all the spectacle & glory attached to the Grammies and the mostly young people who get all of it. Hail to the great un-lauded pioneers and the cookin' stuff they brought to the party!

Hey Boss, pass the sauce. Tell the cook he's off the hook. Lawd aw-mighty, aw-righty aw-righty. Save the grease. Give me another piece, 'cause after I eat, gonna jump on my feet and dig the beat. then sit on down for another treat. Grab your girl by her sweater, and let 'er share some of this, you just can't miss and it don't get no better!

From the year I was born...used to see my folks roll up the rug and dance to this kind of boogie all the time!

I don't like dancing, but I just couldn't help myself boogieing down to this. What a number!

Damn! If this ain't it, what is?
@horarwgt The 1948 version was slower without the drum, in R&B style. This is the 1956 "rock and roll" remake. The drum makes all the difference.
