  • Gott bist du hohl. Die Wunderkerze ist nur zum Anfachen des Magnesiums da , welches sich in der Schale befindet

  • eigentlich ist in wunderkerzen nur eisen aulminium und bariumnitrat.

  • It is not a silly experiment. It shows that magnesium is a powerful reductant. Mg can burn in pure N2 and rips the oxygen away from CO2, as shown here.

  • Burns in it, but dry ice is solid co2 which displaces o2, so it is kind of a silly experiment unless you want to weld out in space. lol
