Close Up Photography of Bees in Flight

I happened upon this colony of bees at the Wildlife Botanical Gardens in Brush Prairie, Washington. This particular cluster of flowers made the perfect setting for close up shots of these tiny subjects.

It was quite challenging capturing these little drones in mid-flight, as they move so rapidly. I think the result was worth the effort. I created this song several years back and felt it flowed nicely here in accompaniment to the imagery.

Oh, I love hummers! I volunteer at a wildlife rehab center on my days off work. We get those amazing little birds in all the time. Love to watch them.
