Yes. He left in 1980 and joined again when Squeeze re-formed in 1985. He left again in about 1991.
A lot of the keyboard parts on Squeeze albums were done by Glenn Tilbrook as Jools often had other commitments. This was mocked by the band in their video for Another Nail In My Heart, where Jools spends most of the video pushing his piano through the streets and reaching the studio just in time to play the final chord!
