according to some of the mags back then (when I was all of 14 yrs old), it was talked about..this was back before WCW and the WWF were locking guys into contracts, it was all handshake back then..look at how fast Rick Rude and Jake Roberts showed up in WCW after leaving WWE..so anything was possible. who knows, I don't anything, I'm just a wrestling fan. go ask Ole...

@SlimmArmstrong They didn't plan it out all the way? Maybe. They were going to have it be the Ultimate Warrior? That was just what fans and rumors thought. I don't think WCW thought they were going to get the warrior. What, were they in talks with signing him to a deal by the time the gimmick was over and it was time to reveal the black scorpion? I doubt it. Yes the magic tricks were so silly to do. Funny to watch now though.

Am I the only person who thought the Black Scorpion angle was great? The worst part of it was when he showed up and kidnapped an audience member during one of the Clash of the Champions, put them in a cage & turned them into a big cat. And then they had to put that the cat was provided by someone at the end credits of the show.
