Founded in 1997, Go Daddy is now, by revenue, the world's largest domain name registrar and web-hosting provider. They have nearly 3,500 employees and plan to hire more than 1,000 in 2012.
Lane Jarvis, Chief Human Resources Officer, and Natalie Johnson, CCP, Director, Compensation, discuss HR's contribution to the rapid growth of the business, designing systems around their employee philosophies, training and development and pay-for-performance programs, the unique array of non-cash rewards, and the employee engagement survey.
Interview by Marcia Rhodes, WorldatWork
Best to skip to 2:45 where she mentions GoDaddy University. All meaningless generalities up until that point! I wonder how much HR aligns with external marketing and corporate comms; how much of employee engagement is related to the company culture (does internal match their external branding?) and how does HR incorporate the culture in their tools and approach. The money box was possibly a glimpse!
