"Ach du lieber" is not a german phrase.
That's only used in american movies xD

shultz says "ach too libre" or sumn, which meens "oh my goodness" in english

too bad the germans weren't as dumb in real life as they were made out to be on hogans heroes could of finished the war in 6 months

hätt er nun noch leutnant anstatt lieutenant gesagt dann wäre der satz sogar komplett deutsch gewesen.

Yeah, In the Wehrmacht, Obergefreiter was a very respected rank, seeing as you had survived pretty long after the war broke out XD

Well the General sais "my old comrade" at the end...so I guess they knew each other before WW2, possibly WW1, where they fought together or something.

klink stammt aus köln und schultz aus wien, beide sind zum anbruch des NS-deutschlands nach amerika geflohen
erst für hogans heroes haben beide wieder ein paar brocken deutscher wörter (mit absicht für die amerikanische umsetzung) angewandt

They know each other from WWI ... schultz was his commanding officer and kammler (the general) was just Lieutenant(he said it).
