Pulling a hill in North Georgia

Just seeing how well it drives up a nice grade. Not really impressive a pull when its not loaded but it still was fun.

That's not bad for 4.10 gears! I've seen you pull with it pretty regularly, so that gearing is probably pretty friend for you. I'm aiming for hopefully 3.55's in the one I get, 2wd or 4wd. Got to get the money first, haha.

These old diesels are so underrated, they kinda hide in the Cummins' and Powerstroke's shadow. Still, I got to drive one with an old 6.9L and C6 transmission; loved it!

@mustangman442002 Yes 4.10's are nice for towing. I really would like 3.73's with a locker for better hwy mpg and mph. But 3.55's are way to low for me, unless I had a ZF5 manual trans.

Thanks. Hwy mileage is 17-19mpg going 65mph, around town is about 14mpg. I have 4.10 gears, E40D trans. Really my truck has 3 computers. Cruise control, Transmission controller, and my Radio. That's one reason on a long list of reasons to own one of these old diesel's.

How do you do mileage-wise with that IDI? Also what's your rear end gearing? I'm assuming that if it's a 90 you have the E4OD transmission. Awesome looking truck though. I've been thinking about getting one sometime in the near future, I've been dragged to the IDI's by their simplicity and rugged reputation.
