  • Anyone know what 2k times the guys did at that time? Or what they're PB was?

  • @madsfr206 I know that Steve was pulling 5:51 in 1998. No doubt he's been faster considering his age then, and being diabetic. Not sure about the others.

  • @oneworldfamily My rowing coach pete wells, former olympian pulled a 5:54 a week ago.

  • @COOPZILON Awesome! Anyone who pulls a sub-6 should be in the national news! The general public have no idea what an achievement that is.

  • So many famous faces from the GB rowing scene in the background!

  • I hate how apparently 'being diabetic' is apparently a diminisher on results. Admittedly if your levels are shit then you will perform like shit. I've been a type one diabetic for close to 12 years and not once has it been a constraint for my goals :D

  • @crazypianolady some people just prefer to erg with bare feet. I did for a while. For longer pieces, I'd slide some socks in between the heel catch of the foot stretchers, and that would generally hold my feet in

  • 7:11 what a treat for jorgen, look at his tongue :D

  • Three things that stand out in this part of the episode, 1) universal dislike for erg tests, 2) pairs races amongst crews being the best races 3) there is no swearing? (very unusual).

  • God the sound of Jurgen shouting gets me motivated even sitting watching Youtube...

  • @BodomChildBreeder I always say to people who think rowing isn't a sport to watch this video. I can't think of any other sport that demands this much team syncronicity, power, and intensity that leaves you EXHAUSTED at the end.

  • Why were some of them rowing with no trainers on? How would their feet even stay in?!

  • Pinsent was a different class at this stage of his career.
