  • I agree then again that is like most of the so called self dense's with a can for a person like myself disabled that needs the cane for actuall assistance I do have to go through a lot of this to find aspects to use for myself though it was nice to watch totally unable to do for the average person that must use a cane

  • This was not so good. This would be too hard to do for a normal guy and especially for older people. The punch is just to fast and the technique to complicated. Use your hand to parry and the cane to strike, or even better, use the cane to parry and strike the attacking arm at the same time!

  • just smash the guys head in with cane and run for it when he is dazed or finish with capping his leg u'r the one with the fucking stick use it if they r goner fuck u up

  • I dont think most people realize that the cane is a traditional weapon of HKD, it has nothing to do with an impairment or the need of an A.D. for ambulation. This weapon was used by monks and travelers as a means of defense .I beg to differ on the post that there is a jerking motion on the wrist in traditional HKD fluidity is key not quick jerky movements off balancing is crucial yes but in a fluid manner. We also have techs for the opposite hand on the cane this is just one of many.

    humbley

  • wow this gonna have with childrens training,i am 10 years old

    i go strart hapkido

  • wow this gonna have with childrens training,i am 10 years old

  • you got be super fast to do that and i know peole that haveto use canes their legs are too bad to be that fast

  • @80KungFu if he blocked the right punch with his right hand and had the cane in his left hand this technique would be easier to pull off I think....easier to slip the cane in...wide open....my humble opinion

  • What is not shown in this DEMO is that when you intercept the hand, you jerk it causing the attacker to lose balance. At that point, yes, he will leave it hanging there as he tries to regain his balance. This technique is not intended for the normal guy, but for serious practitioners of HKD. Compared to some of the cane techniques I have practiced, this one is actually not complicated at all.

  • @CapitanoGUC : Joke, but that would probably work better.

  • This won't work. It looks good on paper and even better in a rigged demonstration, but in a real fight, it's just too convoluted. You're better off just hitting the guy with the cane.

  • i´d just smash his head ....:-/
