  • After the Coolmore Lexington Stakes he ran in last Saturday.... did Tomcito qualify for the Kentucky Derby? If he did, he's going to have better luck than in his 2 races in the states.... he clearly needs more distance to have a good performance!

  • Same sire as Street Sense, third in the Florida Derby, very strong dam lines, make this one a contender. This race was typical of ganging up on a heavy favorite, and his win was very visually impressive.

I see this one laying far back off the pace in Kentucky and getting up for a minor award. Smooth Air looked clearly superior to him last time out, and Big Brown was of course just spectacular.

I wouldn't toss this one, and the prep was excellent. Much better than I had predicted.

  • Great point! Good eye!

  • I want for everyone to check the video and pay close attention to elbows being thrown by Victor Fernandez (jockey) and Benjamin Padilla (the rider of Tomcito)with 3 1/2 furlongs left. Tomcito was boxed in until they reached the stretch. With 1 1/2 furlongs left Tomcito is FREE and darts to the front. If Tomcito makes it to the Belmont Stakes, Big Brown will have a formidable opponent.

Don't forget that Peru has easily the finest jockeys in the world per capita.

  • wow appreciate your comment with your knowledge have you worked with tomcito.. Big Brown is starting to look like barbaro so the third place in the floriday derby was ok

  • Mr. Frisky was never run in Panama. He was out of Frisky Flyer.

  • wow this race is really impressive, first of all horses that are fresh get the jump on him in the stretch and he still mowes them down. Second which is weird in a racehores he likes to go to the left in the stretch as if to "rub it in" the other horses he is passing. Kinda like mohammed Ali he talked the smack and backed it up. I have watched him do this in all his races and he wants the other hores to watch him run by them.. Maybe this will end up being the cockiets horse of all time
