  • Wow, nice job on Ian Rice's plan! I recognized the name first, but then the plan. I have always wondered how it would work out. Better than I thought. I was not sure about the gradients and how they would look but superb. Too bad I already finished my benchwork/track. Very nice

  • @ghfakar

the plan for my "Third Street Industrial Distict" is from Bill Baumann in Model Railroader Nov. 85

  • @westportterminal I see you were correct. I just found my copy of the third street industrial district by Baumann. I think it was in a book by Ian Rice, that is why I was confused over the author of the plan! Anyway, I always liked this plan. The small GE units look great! What decoder do you use in the 44 ton unit?

  • @ghfakar

    ESU Loksound micro

  • What kind of camera do you use for the Cab Ride? That is nice HD quality.

  • @JB1052

I own no video camera. I use my photo camera Canon PowerShot A640

  • @MMODoubter go fuck your uncle fag

  • @Runkleforskin People have lives, Dude. If he isn't replying, he's probably busy with real life.

  • Great job! One of the best that I have seen!

  • @Runkleforskin hey runk did u consider since this guy westpot can't or won't answer simple questions that maybe this isn't his layout at all???.

  • Why do we hurd a R2D2 sound at 9m38-39second?

  • @westportterminal Sorry, not enough room to type! So as I was saying, he does have the credit in what I believe was a Kalmbach publication. But now I am not saying he designed it. Maybe he just included the plan by Mr. Baumann? I must admit I am confused because even your converted caboose is on the plan I have. The gradient down from the mainline above, going under the main to an industry the way it does all are in the plan. I remember it well because I have been dreaming of it for years! :)

  • @westportterminal Uh, maybe so sir, but Iain Rice has the credit for the plan.I am not sure which book it came from, but he is listed as the author for that plan and it is identical. It was an older book and in my many collections of railroad plans I have a tattered copy of it. Someone at a local hobby shop gave it to me. Obviously had copied it from a page. It says at the top by Iain Rice. It is my favorite track plan of all. That to me is the best use of space>all while being prototypical.
