I used to really like and respect Sting, but his egomania has turned me off. I'll still listen to his work with the Police and his early solo work, but he's so full of his genius I pity his family, friends, fellow musicians, but mostly Stewart Copeland and Andy Summers. Sting, just sing and play. We know you're great, but let us figure it out. Don't tell us. Just an observation and a little advice.

And all of us, "ordinary people" are so damn modest every single day. Right ...

Greetings to all humble, non - egotic people out there. I'm sure there are millions of you browsing youtube this instant (rolls eyes)...

Get real, man, get real.

Hey, I didn't say he's not a brilliant songwriter and a great musician. He's both. I just don't care for him like I used to.

Great song but I would bet the farm that Stewart Copeland hated this video when he first saw it....

The term overdancer is funny I must admit.

Thanks. I came up with a new word! It's similar to "He's a 'close talker'" from Seinfeld. Everyone has to admit, we've all seen these people (mostly guys) that overdance in public. It's a nuisance.

Does a "dolt" mean blind? I must be. He's NOT dancing!!?? What does'doing" a script mean? By the way, I'm a screenwriter, which is why I'm interested in hearing what "doing" a script means.

WATCH THE OPTION 2 VIDEO & GET THE WHOLE CONTEXT OF WHAT IS GOING ON the dancing isn't relevant--
There isn't a band. ITS A LIP-SYNC-THE GUITAR is a prop,
Is he "underdancing" later in the video? Look at his final shot and expressions as if he is saying "You want a video-- there you go" But that is all subjective on my part I think it was Genius-- caught my eye and held my attention as most videos are obnoxious and jump around and cut from scene to scene every 3 seconds

Take it easy, take it easy. I will maintain that he's overdancing. Let's face it, Sting's ego can rival Aretha Franklin on a couple of cocktails. He's a bit of a diva. And yes, you could certainly argue that he underdances later in the video. Having said that, I also agree that he's a genius. Most people with butlers and servants are, don't you agree?

I don't know about over-dancing or under-dancing. I only have a slight education in stage and film, and none in dance save audio production. You may be right, but it looked okay enough to me. Could be better, but good enough. Just my opinion though. Great song, though, either way you slice it. :)
