Mike Sweeney (www.gomikesweeney.com) driving a 1963 Porsche 356B. Started fourth despite winning the previous day's qualifying race. Worked up to the lead, turning a fast lap of 1:23.7 in the process, only to have a minor mechanical failure end his day. No damage to the car, which runs great when both carbs are connected to the throttle pedal.
Mike Sweeney also drives the #181 APR Motorsport Volkswagen GTI in the ST class of the Grand Am KONI Challenge.
Most spectators have no idea how hard we push in vintage racing. This is a great example of what its like at the sharp end of the grid. Nice drive Mike!
