A memoir of our 2008 Europe Trip.

Inspired by the Discovery Channel "I Love the World" song. (AKA Boom De Ah Dah) : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=at_f98qOGY0

Google Map of our trip: http://maps.google.com/maps?f=d&hl=en&geocode=&saddr=London%20UK&...

****PLEASE READ BEFORE COMMENTING*****
Many of you have been posting the SAME comments/questions:
1) We know that Switzerland is NOT in the EU. We did not want to name it (& sing) we love the EU AND SWITZERLAND.
2) We meant no disrespect by "jumping" near the Holocaust memorial. When we did it, we had no idea it was the holocaust memorial --- MANY people were in the area playing and jumping around on the structures. We later visited the memorial (downstairs/underground) which was very touching, moving, sad, and well put together.

  • great job! but you do know that your not allowed to run or jump on the holocaust museum in germany right?

  • @sinthoras18 we didn't know until later that it was the holocaust museum. when we first approached it, there were no signs indicating what it was. also, people were running around and jumping all over it. we've already addressed this in earlier comments... we meant NO disrespect. the memorial itself (downstairs) was extremely moving, sad, and touching.

  • Great!

The best cover of this song. And i've seen some of them this morning =)

Where do you come from originally?

    Greetings

  • Thanks!! We're both originally from Canada but we're now living in California.

  • You jumping around on the Berlin holocaust memorial is like you hopping on the pillars of the WWII Memorial in Washington.

    What were you thinking?

  • honestly, at first we did not realize that this was the holocaust memorial. we approached the memorial from an unmarked side and we did not realize what it was until we explored the entire perimeter. despite how you may view our (unknowing) actions as inappropriate, it seems the designer had a different view (read the articles about it).

we did visit the underground part which was very moving & emotional. obviously, these events were a horrible part of our history.
